In recent years, the atheist government in China has grown more hostile to Christianity and especially towards western missionaries.  In the 2017-2018 school year there were over 400,000 international Chinese students on American Campuses.  This presents a huge opportunity.  We can do international missions right here in America!

China Outreach Ministries (COM) is an organization dedicated to bringing the Gospel to Chinese students and scholars studying on American campuses.  We represent COM on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  Purdue has 3,300 students from China  and 740 scholars (as of 2018); Chinese students make up 8% of the total student body! Here are a few examples of how we want to reach out to the Chinese:

• show the students Christ’s love through meeting practical needs (airport pick-ups, finding housing or furniture for those who need it, car repairs, parenting classes, counseling, etc.)
• build relationships through regular social events (parties for Chinese and American holidays, trips, camping, etc.)
• discipleship for seekers and new believers
• show hospitality to guests in a foreign country
• working alongside local church bodies in existing programs and ministries to Chinese students

We can’t do this alone!  We need others to partner with us as volunteers, prayer partners, or monthly financial partners.  Would you consider partnering with us?
